TGF Rated Review: Babyaid Compact

August 26, 2009 by erica

compact_with_and_without_pakcaging_1What is it? The BabyAid Compact is a First Aid kit for babies and children which is designed to be small enough to fit into your changing bag or the glove box of the car.

Who is testing it? Me – I’ve a 2 year old toddler who has his fair share of accidents.

Set Up The kit contains plasters, a bandage, dressing, antiseptic wipes, microporous tape, scissor, disposable thermometers, woundwash/eyewash, burnshield gel sachets and bravery stickers.  The kit comes in a conveniently small, zip up, wipe clean bag with a pretty flower motif. In Use As the kit only measures 1.5 x5.5 x 3.5 inches, it is very easy to slip it into your bag when you are out and about with your child.  Despite its small size, you can fit in everything you need and there is even room to slip in a couple of extra items to suit you and your child’s needs.

I particularly liked the inclusion of burnshield gel sachets to relieve burns and scalds as many First Aid kits don’t consider burns.  There’s a guidance leaflet covering paediatric first aid which is worth reading when you get the kit and every so often afterwards to keep it fresh in your mind.

Any Negatives None

Price and Availability Available from BabyAid for £14. Refill packs are also available.

Overall A great idea – it’s good to have a kit that is geared up to dealing with children and babies and it’s nice to have such fun packaging too.  The small size makes it a winner for me too.
